EMC Entertainment - The Prior Players have announced that they are casting their spring 2010 production and seeking volunteers to help in other ways with the production.

Auditions will be held Feb. 6 and 7 at 1 p.m. in the meeting room of the Arnprior Public Library.

They are looking for male and female actors for their upcoming play. No previous acting experience is necessary.

People of all ages who may not want to act but would like to work on different aspects of the production (e.g. publicity, set construction, props, lighting, front of house, etc.) are also invited to join us at one of the auditions.

No previous experience is required and it's a fun way to meet people and get experience in theatre arts.

Students can earn community involvement hours by helping with the production.

For further information please call 613-623-5585 or email priorplayers@gmail.com.

Charlotte Leitch will produce the play and Dave Anthony will direct.

Dave had his acting debut with the Prior Players when he acted in their sold out spring 2009 production - Maggie's Getting Married by the popular Canadian playwright Norm Foster.

He also acted in one of the two plays produced during the fall.

Charlotte produced the Prior Players fall 2009 double bill.

The Prior Players is Arnprior's community theatre group.

Founded in 1990, they are a non-profit organization that exists to enrich the community by providing theatrical entertainment for their audiences.

They also provide training and experience in all aspects of theatre arts for their volunteers.

They offer theatrical workshops and opportunities for hands-on experience in theatrical productions.

The Prior Players produce spring and fall productions each year.

Their last production was in November, 2009 when they had a successful four-night run of two one-act plays, "Mail Order Annie" by Carl C. Cashin and "As Night to the Day" by Dan Ebbs.
