Closure of Ben's TV prompts trip down memory lane

Tweet This– If you lived in the Arnprior area, West Carleton or Pakenham between 1959 and 2009, chances are you or your family bought something from Ben’s TV & Radio Sales & Service.
The business, which was a mainstay on Arnprior’s main street, quietly closed its doors this past Nova as owners Ben and Mona Sauve decided it was time to move on.
“Mona and I always said that if Hitachi were ever to leave Canada, that would be it,” recalls Ben Sauve, adding that neither he nor his wife had interest in selling any other models. “The are still really big in the States.”
He says the store was supposed to close last March but both he and his wife kept going until one day, she made the decision.
