More winter coming?

EMC Lifestyle - Winter carnival organizers in the area were likely waiting with baited breath this morning when local groundhogs peered from their holes.

If the Goshen gopher and White Lake Willie saw their shadows this morning (Thursday) on Groundhog Day it's supposed to mean there at least six more weeks of winter.

That would be music to the ears of organizers of upcoming winter carnivals, fun days and ice fishing derbies in Braeside, McNab, Kinburn, Horton and Fitzroy Harbour.

If the groundhogs don't see their shadows, winter is supposed to end early.
