Chamber seeks business award nominations
Posted Feb 16, 2012 By EMC NewsEMC News - It's time to roll out the red carpet and nominate the best businesses in Arnprior and Mcnab-Braeside for the 2012 Business Achievement Awards.
The Greater Arnprior Chamber of Commerce invites nominations from the public and chamber members.
The awards are an opportunity to acknowledge a business or an individual who the nominator feel goes above and beyond in the community.
There are three categories, including large business (more than 25 employees), small business (less than 25 employees) and chamber member of the year.
The business does not have to be a chamber member for the business category, but member of the year must be.
There is also a President's award, chosen by the chamber president Zillah Briscoe.
Nomination forms are available on-line at www.gacc.ca (under events) with a description of the nominee guidelines and requirements. Deadline for nominations is March 22..
The eighth annual Awards Gala, jointly hosted by the GACC, the Town of Arnprior and the Township of McNab-Braeside, will be held April 12 at the Nick Smith Centre.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a buffet dinner at 6 p.m. and the award ceremony starting at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets will be on sale for $35 each until April 5 by contacting the chamber office at 613-623-6817 or any member of the executive of the chamber. Tickets are not available at the door.
The chambers thank local people and businesses in advance for their participation.
